Approved Minutes from July 14th, 2011 Meeting
Meeting called to order by President Steve Stillwell at 7:05 pm.
Sergeant-At-Arms Rich Miller read roll call: 26 Members, 2 guests. Prospective Members: 0
Treasurers Report:
Treasurer Dianne Hamano gave a Treasurers Report.
Secretary:
Larry Lopez read the minutes and they were approved.
Committee Reports:
Safety: Rudy is working on setting up a head light test and adjustment program for the club. He also explained the importance of the safety inspection to our guest.
National Council: Next meeting is Aug 2nd.

Jeff’s Fun Run:
Chris thanked everyone for there help, Steve also chimed in to thank Chris for his contributions. The run was a success, we had 150 entries, and our 50/50 split was $591 which Ed won. He then donated $250 back with Rich won. The prizes from Hilco and the 50$ gift certificates from CPP were a big hit too. We were able to raise enough money to donate $2k plus $500 from Ken Grody to City of Hope. Jeff’s will get a memorial plaque in there garden.
Public Relations/Activities:
The Seal Beach car show spaces have officially been claimed by the club, if you have not paid for your spot, please see Dianne. This year the Cruisin’ for a Cure goody stuffing party will only need about 6 to 8 people to participate, they will be serving breakfast this year. Chris recommended everyone check out the video that Glenn put together of the Jeff’s Fun Run cruise on Friday. It’s posted on You Tube. He also thanked everyone for the club host award he received at Western National. The next club event is July 23rd. it’s the Cypress car show. In Aug, we have North/South it’s the 19th thru 21st. On the 27th, it’s the Corn Feed run, and they will need a little help with parking. On Aug 12th, it looks like we are going to do a Friday Night cruise at the Ruby’s in Redondo Beach. In Oct, we still are set to visit the traveling memorial wall for the Vietnam veterans along with out $500 donation. On Oct 1st, there is a Canyon Lake car show to benefit progeria research.
Western Nationals:
Glenn thanks everyone for there hard work with judging, he going to make a few changes for next year but overall he was happy with how thing went. Steve also thank Glenn for his efforts, Ed stepped up and also thanks everyone involved for there help. No dollar figures were given but the show was a success, and the quality of trucks that showed up was wonderful.

New Business:
- Birthdays for July; Mike Hays
- Club anniversary; Rich Miller, 2005.
- Wedding anniversary; Rudy & Edith, July 12th.
- Steve would like for the club to give a good donation to the Wounded Warrior organization, more research was needed, more to come.
- Next Tuesday, the 18th, there is a group of members meeting at Knotts Berry farm for some famous chicken dinner, contact Norm for more info.
